Personal Time Off
MTR grants paid time away from work. Employees are encouraged to schedule sufficient time off for
relaxation to promote good physical and mental health.

Once an employee hits 4 years of service Multi-Day, OT, Premium
based on their Seniority date, they will start
accruing at the next higher rate as of the
next pay period. Once an employee hits 4 years based on their
Seniority date, they will start accruing at the next
rate as of January of the next year.
You may use this time off for any purpose you wish, including vacations, unpaid holidays, illness or time
away from work for personal or family matters.
All Time Off Request must be submitted via the Pay Northwest website. Once you have put in your
request, your supervisor will contact you and will advise you if the PTO is approved. Unless there is an
emergency situation, all requests for time off should be made within reasonable period of time prior to
the commencement of the leave.
16 hours of PTO can be used in a work week as long as you do not exceed 56 total hours. For example if
you work 40 hours in a week, you will be able to use 16 hours of PTO, if you work 50 hours in a week you
will be able to use 6 hours of PTO.
Unscheduled absences are strongly discouraged except in emergency situations.
When you are unable to report to work due to personal illness or any other reason, you must contact
your supervisor immediately to report the nature of the problem and when you expect to return.
