DIVERSIFIED EMPLOYEE HANDBOOK
Safety†
Diversified is fully committed to providing a safe and healthful workplace to all of its Employees. Diversified
provides information to employees about workplace safety and health issues via internal communication
channels such as supervisor-employee meetings, training events, emails, or other written communications.
Each employee is expected to follow Diversified’s safety standards laid out in our OneStop Safety page.
Employees will receive training based on their role during their orientation and/or will continue to receive
additional training as required to meet their job activities. Safety training can be requested through the Safety
team at safety@diversifiedus.com. Employees are to exercise caution in all work activities and immediately report
any unsafe conditions to their supervisor. Employees who violate safety standards, who cause hazardous or
dangerous situations, or who fail to report or, where appropriate, remedy such situations, may be subject to
corrective action, up to and including termination of employment.
In the case of accidents that result in injury, regardless of how insignificant the injury may appear, employees
should immediately report the incident to their immediate supervisor and receive the appropriate medical care
if necessary. The immediate supervisor will follow the reporting procedures laid out on the Incidental Reporting
Procedures page on the OneStop Safety page. They include contacting Travelers Insurance Company at 1-800-
238-6225, choosing prompts #1, #1, and then #4 to report the claim and obtain a claim number and contact
number for follow-up. Visit the safety portal for the full required procedures.
Such reports are necessary to comply with our required reporting and to initiate insurance and workers'
compensation benefits procedures on your behalf.
Work Related Injury or Illness
Diversified provides all employees with worker’s compensation insurance, which covers medical expenses and
lost wages resulting from on-the-job injuries and occupational illnesses. Diversified reserves the right to
administer post-accident screening or medical fitness for duty to assure readiness to return to work.
To protect your right to workers compensation coverage, it is important that you report all work-related injuries
immediately, even if the injury seems minor and/or you do not intend to seek treatment. Report work-related
injuries and illnesses following the incident reporting procedures on the OneStop Safety page.
Hazardous Waste
The Environmental Protection Agency has classified certain chemicals and chemical groups as toxic, which means
that they can be hazardous to human health if exposure occurs. Diversified is committed to proper handling and
disposing of hazardous waste to minimize both health issues and environmental damage. Diversified will inform
employees how to control hazardous waste and what to do if they are exposed to it. If any employee suspects
they may have encountered hazardous waste, they should inform management immediately.
