Loss of FOB
If you lose your FOB, report the loss to the College Office or Duty Tutor immediately as this is a
significant security risk for everyone in College. For security reasons the FOB will be deactivated
immediately, and it will no longer open the College doors. If you lose your FOB, you will be charged
a $50 replacement fee to cover the cost of deprogramming your old FOB and programming a
replacement.
Loss of keys
You should always carry your external key and room key with you when you go out. It is a good
idea to have your contact number listed on your keys. However, do not list your address. This ensures
your keys can easily be located without risking the safety of the College and its residents.
Lost keys must be reported to the College Office – or Duty Tutor after hours – immediately as this
provides a significant security risk for everyone living at Janet Clarke Hall. If you lose your key, you
will incur the full cost for replacement as well as the cost of changing the lock to your room. The
cost to replace lost room keys is ~$250. It pays to develop some good habits about your room key
as it is an expensive business to replace the locks and keys – but better than someone else having
access to your room with a stolen key.
Car access gate
Safety, as well as wear and tear on the car access gate means that it cannot function as a point
of pedestrian access. Unless you have approval to drive into the College, please use the front gate
as your main access.
