JUNG-A HO
The artist Jung-A Ho paints directly on her canvases, and completes them without sketching the
composition beforehand. Her work is the expression of her feelings and interpretations of them in
an abstract style. Some of Ho’s works create different feelings through altering the direction or angle
of the light, the color of the background, or the placement of surfaces and lines. Except for the main
motif, most colors and composition elements can be freely modified according to the artist’s feelings
when she creates the work, without preplanning. She is known as a master of colour in her paintings,
which combine spontaneity with sophistication. Abstracted flowers in her paintings, which are her
main themes, create an intense, delicate, and graceful feeling.
