It is important to note here that the aggrieved party does not need to ask for an
annulment but may choose to accept the above and ratify the marriage. Then
things go on as usual with any marriage. But, if you wish to annul the marriage
you must stop living together and acting like man and wife. You cannot come to
the court with dirty hands and must decide what you want to do. See your
lawyer for this will be an application to court.
Since divorce is such a wretched subject I thought to end this chapter with a
joke. After all it may also be a blessing as we saw:
Q: How do you know your wife is a good housekeeper?
A: After the divorce she keeps the house!
