EEA and Norway Grants Fund for Youth Employment
CALL FOR PROPOSALS - CONCEPT NOTE

Public university Ptuj PUP as applicant will take the leading role in the project. PUP will take
care of managerial activities and provide budget and deliverable control and monitoring. We will
do our best with motivating other partners, staying on track with deadlines and insure the
quality of results. PUP will also be responsible for interim and final report for fund operator.

On operational level PUP will be involved as example of good practice in adult education and
career consulting to vulnerable groups. With network of already trained counselors, PUP will
provide their internal network to build a partnership, carry out the training of one group of
trainers in Slovenia.

PUP is a public institution for adult education. Our principal activity is to educate adults. Due to
past projects we gained experiences with providing programs, mentors and good atmosphere
for people with special needs. Our employees participated in a lot of training, workshops and
education on that topic. Each year we offer workshops for unemployed, for people with
intellectual disability, for elderly and for other vulnerable target groups.

Public University of Ptuj is strongly active in international projects, where we are applying for
the EU founds either as a leading partner or as a project partner under the leadership of partner
from another EU country. Each year we are involved in at least four international projects

In a year 2016 we became the leading consortium partner in (for us) very important projects
“Acquisition of competences” (2016-2019) and “Guidance and counseling for adults”
(2016-2020). This will allow us to have even closer connection with the economy and the local
community.

In 2017, we have also opened a family center that will empower all family members with the
competences needed for quality parenting and family life and for successful development of
children.
