Business letters are the oldest form of official
correspondence. It is the way that depends on utilising letters for
communication amongst businesses, businesses and customers,
and customers and businesses. They serve as a mean of
communication for different purposes in many fields of business
e.g. a deal, an enquiry, making a reservation, confirming a
reservation, cancelling a reservation, a complaint, a warning, a
notice, an invitation, a declaration, an information, an apology
and many others.
Therefore, business letters can be defined as a special
kind of formal letters that senders and receivers utilise to
correspond with each other about business transactions which
they might not be able to do in a face-to-face conversation.
Items of a business letter:
There are some important elements that should to be
considered in a business letter format, which are:

The letterhead usually consists of the following data of the
sender:
The company's name.
The company's logo.
The company's address.
