If the conditions for resuming payrnents are rret, the susperrsion wilI be lifted. 1'lre Agency will send a
.fttrntal notificatiort to the coordinator infonning it of this.

11.24.2 Suspension of the time limit for payments

II.24.2.L The Agency may at auy Inolnent suspend the time lirnit for paynrent specified in Articles
1.5.2,1.5.3 and 1.5.4 if a request for payrnent cantrot be approved because:
(a) it does not conrply with the Agreement;

(b) the appropriate supporting documeuts have not beerr produced; or

(c) therc is a doubt about the eligibility of the costs declared in the financial statements ancl
additional checks, reviews, audits or investigations are necessary.

11.24.2,2 The Agency must send a.formal notificalion to the coordinator informing it ot:
(a) the suspension; and

(b) the reasons for the suspension.

TIre suspension takes effect on the day the Agency sends the./ormal notification.
II.24.2.3If the conditions for suspending the payment deadline are no longer rrret, tlre suspension will
be lifted and tl-re remaining period will resume.

If the suspension exceeds two months, tlre coordinator may requesttlre Agency if the suspeusion rvill
corttinue.

lf the payment deadline has been suspended because the technical repofts or financial statements do
not comply with tlre Agreement and the revised repoft or statement is not sr.rbmitted or was subrnitted
bLrt is also rejected, the Agency may termiuate the Agleenrent or the participation of the beneficiary as
provided for in Afticle ll.l 7.3.1(c) and reduce the grant as provided fol in Article 11.25.4.

ARTICLE II.2s-CALCLTLATION OF THE FINAL AMOUNT OB THB GRANT

The final atnount of the grant depends on the extent to which the aclkm has been irnplernented in
accordance with the terms of the Agreernent.

The final al'noutlt of the grant is calculated by the Agency atthe tirne of the payrnent of the balance.
The calculation involves the followirrg steps:

Step I Application of the reimbursement rate to the eligible costs and additiolr of the

Step 2 Lirnit to tl'te maxinzum qDtoxott of'the grant
