II.25.l Step I Application of the reimbursement rate to the etigible costs and addition
-
of the financing not linked to costs, unit, flat-rate and lump sum contributions

This step is applied as fbllows:

(a) lt, as plovided fbr in Article 1.3,2(a)(i), the grant takes the form of the reimbursement of
eligible costs actually incurred, the reimbursement rate specified in that Article is applied to
those eligible costs as approved by the Agency for the corresporrding categories of costs,
benefi ciaries and affi | iated entities

(b) lf, as provided for in Article 1.3.2(a) (ii) to (v), the grant takes the form of the reirnbursement
of eligible unit costs, lump sum costs or flat late costs , the rcimbursetnent rate specified in
that Article is applied to the those eligible costs as approved by the Agency for the
colresponding categories of costs, beneficiaries and affiliated entities;

The amount of volunteers' work declared as direct eligible costs for the beneficiaries and
affiliated entities must be limited to the following amount, whichever is the lowest:

(i) the total sources of financirrg as indicated in the final financial statement and as
accepted by the Agency rnultiplied by fifty per cent; or

(ii) the amount of volunteers' work indicated in the estirnated budget set out in Annex Ill.

(c) If, as provided for in Article I.3.2(b), the grant takes the fonn of a unit contribution, the unit
contribution specified in that Article is rnultiplied by the actual number of units approved by
the Agency tbr the corresponding beneficiaries and affiliated entities;

(d) lf, as provided for ln Article 1.3.2(c), the grant takes the fonn of a lump surn contribution, the
Agency applies the lump sum specified in that Afticle for the corresponding beneficiaries and
affiliated entities if it finds that the corresponding tasks or paft of the action were
irnplernented properly in accordance with Annex l;

(e) If, as provided fol in Article 1.3.2(d), the grant takes the form of a flat-rate contribution, the
flat rate refelred to in that Article is applied to the eligible costs or to the contribution
approved by the Agency for the corresponding beneficiaries and affiliated entities;

(0 lt as provided for in Article 1.3.2(e), the grant takes the forrn of financing not linked to costs,
the Agency applies the amount specified in that Article for the corresponding beneficiaries
and affiliated entities if it finds that [the conditions specified in Annex I were
fulfilledl[alrd][the results specified in Annex lwere achieved].

lf Article 1.3.2 provides for a combination of different forms of grant, the amoLlnts obtained must be
added together.

11.25.2 Step 2 Limit to maximum amount of the grant

The total atnouttt paid to the beneficiaries by the Agency nray in no circumstances exceed the
muxirnttttt untount of the grant.

lf tlie amount obtained fbllowing Step I is h igher than this maximum amount, the final amount of the
grant is lirnited to the latter.
lf volunteers' work is declaled as paft of direct eligible costs, the final amount of the grant is limited to
the amount of total eligible costs and contributions approved by the Agency nrinus the amount of
volunteers' work approved by the Agency.
