some very wrong, like associations that lead into
drinking, revelling, sexual immorality and such vices.
iii. Desperate Measures for Promotion: By this I
mean measures people take sometimes in order to
change their lifestyle or socioeconomic level. Take the
mad rush to get rich and amass wealth, for instance,
without commensurate work to earn it. This is what
leads to stealing, fraud, prostitution and similar sins.
iv. Wrong Value Systems: This is what happens when
one is raised in a family setting with ungodly or
perverted values. In such environments you hear
things like: “Get what you want with what you
have...Do anything to get what you want to forge
ahead in life...If other people are doing wrong things
and getting away with it why not you...I don’t care
what you do or how you make it; just make it,”
without giving thought to the morality of the process.
These are wrong and antisocial values which have
made some people morally weak and prone to crime.
v. Raised in an Abusive Environment: There are
people who have been raised in families where they
were subjected to diverse forms of abuse: mental,
physical, emotional or sexual. These forms of abuse
might have been inflicted by parents, guardians, older
family members, female or male servants or
neighbours. There was a story in my city of a female
child who was made to be driven to school by the
