GRACE, Exploring Its Riches
“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us,
and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only
begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth...
And of His fullness we have all received, and
grace for grace” (John 1:14, 16).
here are levels of grace. There are several degrees
of spiritual, moral, social or intellectual elevation
Tthat can be in operation in the believer. Amongst
members of the body of Christ we do not all operate at the
same level, depending on the grace each one has received
from the Lord. Factors why christians operate at different
levels include the following:
tThe depth of revelation from the Lord Jesus.
tThe level of the individual’s walk with the Lord.
tThe nature of one’s calling.
tThe nature of work to be done for the Lord.
The level of grace with which a believer operates is
determined by the Lord who gives the grace to everyone
who is saved. We know that He gives His grace by His
sovereign will to the ones He places His calling upon. It
must also be realized that an individual can attract higher
levels of grace into his life depending of the price he is
willing to pay before the Lord. For everyone called to serve
as a leader in the Church, a measure of grace is given by the
Lord Jesus to function in that office. Whether called to be a
pastor, evangelist, prophet, apostle or teacher, grace is
required to operate effectively in any of these offices.
