“It feels right.

The colours change when the objects are put together.”

“We didn’t much think about the cork because it was just a cork.

There was a pipe cleaner on the table.
Then the cork seemed to say ‘wrap me’. And we discovered the

stability of the cork. But the pipe cleaner didn’t stay in place so we
noticed the slippery-ness of the cork and we also noticed that the
                                                    pipe cleaner wasn’t sticky.”

“We noticed how one form can fit into another or
it doesn’t fit. The table also has a form. These stones
also go together because they are opposites; they
                                                                contrast each other.”

It is easy to view these things~objects~materials as objects; however recognising their agency offers the
opportunity to ‘see things differently’ and therefore to know things differently.
Teacher~researchers described a sense of ‘rightness’ in harmonious patterns of relations. We noticed that
language became more poetic as the things~objects~materials become subjects rather than objects.
