FLOW OF PROJECT PROPOSAL/GRANT APPLICATIONS Level III Phase 2

The institution had established a process in the development of the institutional
extension program/agenda. The process flow for the implementation of extension

programs is stated at the pages 18-23 of the Extension manual of the Institution. Anytime

within the year, Community and Extension Services (CES) accepts extension project or
program proposals or applications for grants. This general process flow below facilitates

the processing of extension proposals/grant applications along the “TABANGE” agenda
               program.

Primarily it starts in consultation with the training needs assessment of the
community. This is to ensure that the extension program to be conducted is a research-

based project. Then training needs assessment results were presented to the partner

community for more suggestions, opinions and comments for the project proposal. Next,
is the formulation/making of proposal by the proponent to be submitted to the extension

focal person, Dean of the department/unit, Extension coordinator and Extension Director

for review and approval. Then, the extension program proposal is to be presented on the
institutional Extension proposal in-house review with the members of the Research and

Extension Council as the panelists. After a thorough review of the proposal, the extension
council then approved and endorsed the project proposal with budgetary requirement to

the office of the president. After which, the office of President endorses the project
proposal to the Board of Trustee. With the approval of BOT through the presence of Board

resolution, the project will commence on its implementation. The proponent receives

notice of approval / disapproval from the CES office. For approved proposals a notice to
proceed likewise is release from the CES office and for disapproved proposals,

documents will be returned along with findings and recommendations for its improvement.
