God with boons and bounties on the other hand those who defy the laws of nature
receive curses and kicks from him. To live life in tune with the laws of nature is YOGA". If
Man's actions are not in tune with the laws of nature, then he is bound to face
frustration, chaos, despair and misery in his life. Hence man must fully and properly
realise the true concept of God and His intrinsic natural systematised order which
becomes responsible for giving favourable and unfavourable reactions to Man's good and
evil actions. Therefore, he should decide for himself whether he should march on towards
the pinnacle of happy, peaceful and prosperous life or to push himself towards the valley
of sorrow, frustration and misery. It will thus be realised that since people are ignorant of
the true concept of God, their ignorance has led them to imaginary and misleading
concepts about religion, culture and providence (ननयती). Let us therefore briefly deal with
the true concepts of religion, culture and providence.
                                                True concept of religion
The concept of religion is basically a way of life, to ensure social harmony as also
to bring about peace and tranquillity in the human society. However, the general
experience of the human society is that, the prevailing religions in the world do not
satisfy this concept. The fundamental reason for this is that, these religions do not take
congnisance of the intricate relationship that exists between Man on the one hand and
the universal laws of nature on the other, which play an important role in Man's life in
bringing about favourable and unfavourable reactions in his life, in response to his good
and evil actions JEEVANVIDYA defines religion as follows :
Religion is a philosophy of life, specifically evolved for ensuring the welfare and
well-being of human society, after taking into consideration the intricate relationship
between Man and the universal laws of nature, which are responsible for bringing about
favourable and unfavourable reactions, in response to Man's good and evil actions.
Thus, religion as defined above can rightly be designated as the universal religion.
            Hence JEEVANVIDYA emphatically asserts that,
It is only this universal religion which alone has the capacity of bringing about
peace and happiness for the human race and that no other so called existing religions in
            the world have this potential.
At this juncture, it is necessary to briefly elucidate the nature of this universal
religion. The all-pervading Cosmic Life Force and its universal law of "action and
reaction'', being very intimately related to the human life, has the wonderful potential of
                                                                                                              32
