Page 39 - Towards The Goal Of Beautiful Life
P. 39
The dream of bringing about a revolution in the world will never come true, unless
the human race genuinely appreciates the very truth that,
The state of Man's happiness is hidden in the happiness of others, while the state
of his grief is concealed in the sorrows of others.
Wisdom alone has the unique potential to bless the human society with material
prosperity and spiritual progress of the entire human race. JEEVANVIDYA categorically
states that,
"Just as a body without life is useless, similarly religion without wisdom is
worthless and life without wisdom is hopeless.''
Hence religion without wisdom is no religion at all, while religion endowed with
wisdom is the real religion in the true sense of the term. Man must therefore learn from
the past and live the present with wisdom for his bright future. In brief, wisdom lies
essentially in creating a favourable destiny which blesses Man with health, harmony,
peace, joy and happiness. Hence JEEVANVIDYA proclaims that,
"The essence of religion is Wisdom''.
We will now focus our attention on understanding how this universal religion is
related on one hand with human culture and on the other with Niyati.
True Concept of Culture
With the failure to comprehend the very existence as well as the enormous
potential of individual subconscious mind as also of the collective subconscious mind and
their tremendous influence on shaping human culture, Man is experiencing the absence
of peace and happiness in his life. similarly his efforts to achieve peace and tranquillity
are constantly being made in the wrong direction. Consequently, the human society,
instead of progressing towards attainment of peace and happiness, is rapidly advancing
towards deterioration and destruction. The root cause for this situation is the confusion in
understanding the true nature of culture. Most of the people entertain a wrong concept
about culture. They misunderstand civilisation for culture. For instance, the so called
Mohenjodaro, Babylonian and Sumerian cultures were essentially civilisations and not
cultures; but people have all along been referring to them as cultures. Fundamentally,
culture is directly related to the human mind while civilisation is related to the human
body. It is also interesting to understand clearly what constitutes human culture as
distinct from the conventional culture. JEEVANVIDYA says that,
