and his duty was to ring the bell, every half an hour. Some times even after school hours
he used to casually toll the bell and recite to himself "Ton, Ton, Ton, the president of
America is Washington.'' In course of time, this process developed into his habit and
while repeatedly reciting 'Ton, Ton, Ton, the president of America is Washington'' he
gradually started identifying himself with this thought, started concentrating on it and
used to go into a kind of trance. Eventually the thought, 'The president of America is
Washington', penetrated from his conscious mind into the deeper levels of his
subconscious mind, stabilised there and eventually became a reality. His subconscious
mind triggered a chain of events in his life, as a result of which, Washington really
became the president of America as we all know. An identical event also occured in the
life of Sir Ramsay McDonald, the prime minister of England. Ramsay McDonald was a
clerk in a post office in his earlier career. His job was to mark the postal emblem on
every stamp of the envelope. In addition to performing this assigned duty, he used to
record intentionally his hearty feelings on each envelope. This hearty feeling was, 'May
God bless you.' As a postal clerk, he was involved in stamping numerous envelopes and
on each of these envelopes, he wrote, 'May God bless you'. As a result of this habit, the
thought 'May God bless you' percolated in course of time from his conscious mind into his
subconscious mind, took firm roots there and ultimately became a reality. His
subconscious mind generated a sequence of events in his life, as a result of which
Ramsay McDonald really became the prime minister of United Kingdom as we all know.
Wishing Blessfully is a Kalpataru
Wishing blessfully is like a wonderful tree called the Kalpataru, referred to in
Indian Mythology as a tree which fulfills all wishes. There is an important doctrine of
JEEVANVIDYA which states,
"One who enjoys witnessing the sorrows and miseries of others is a Satan, one
who is grieved witnessing the grief of others is a human being and the one who rejoices
in the happiness and joy of others is a saint.''
Generally, we notice that Satans are in a majority, human beings are in a minority
and the saints are in a microscopic minority. It is precisely this situation, which is mainly
responsible for all the sufferings and miseries of the human race. In order to improve this
situation, the number of saintly minded persons must increase to be in majority, while
the number of Satans must decrease and become insignificant.
