thoughts, he can certainly change his destiny. The following doctrine of JEEVANVIDYA is
            very relevant in this context.

"Never forget that thoughts in your mind alone mould and build your life.
Therefore, change your thoughts and change your destiny.''

Thought is the Lamp of Alladin
Let us now briefly find out how a thought is the 'Lamp of Alladin.' Many people

have read the story of Alladin and his lamp. Alladin had obtained a magic lamp. The

unique feature of this magic lamp was that, when Alladin rubbed this lamp with his
hands, a Jinnie appeared form this lamp. This Jinnie would immediately complete any

task that Alladin would give to him, with the result that Alladin was able to live a happy
life. Similarly every Man in the world has been gifted with a magic lamp, though he is not

aware of this magnificent gift. This magic lamp that Man possesses is the power of
thought. When Man rubs this lamp of thought by his two 'hands', namely his conscious

mind and subconscious mind, a power is created out of this 'lamp' of thought. Right
from birth Man possesses this power of thought which is responsible for shaping his life.

Hence, whether this power of thought blesses Man with boons and bounties or it ruins his
life, depends entirely on the manner in which he handles this power of thought. In other

            words.
"Purification and sublimation of the thought world is absolutely essential to bring

about a genuine and effective revolution in the material world.''

                                                Thought is an Abhisheka
Let us now consider how thought is like an Abhisheka, that is a kind of sprinkling

of water on the idol of God. Amongst Hindus, the sprinkling of holy water or milk on the
stone idol (Pinda) of Lord Shiva is a prevalent form of worship to gratify Him.

            JEEVANVIDYA states that,
This process of sprinkling of 'water' (in the form of thoughts) continuously going

on throughout Man's life. In this process, sprinkling of thoughts on the soul of Man

(आत्मभलंग) residing in his heart, constantly takes place in his life.

This process of sprinkling is of two types. The first type is the sprinkling of
auspicious thoughts on the soul and the second type is the sprinkling of inauspicious

thoughts. Hence, consistent sprinkling of auspicious thoughts on the soul, takes the form
of beautiful life in the form of happy, successful and prosperous life. On the contrary, a

consistent sprinkling of inauspicious thoughts takes the form of miserable life in the form
