Exploring the Culture of Poverty
Presented By: Katie DiStefano, Steve Nugent
Target Audience: All Staff
Over 70% of our families live at or below the poverty line, making poverty the largest cultural subgroup
at Agora. This session is a face-to-face reboot of our popular 2015 / 2016 virtual training series.
“Newish” teachers and diversity die-hards will enjoy this thought provoking and interactive opportunity
to examine and identify our own cultural bias, and utilize that understanding as the foundation for
creating successful relationships with Agora Cyber Charter School families from poverty.
