Innerwork: Mindfulness for Teachers and Their Students
Presented By: Miranda Luckie, Josh Dorfuzaun
                                                  Target Audience: All Staff

While teaching is a rewarding profession, it can also be very stressful at times. Mindfulness has been
shown to reduce stress, improve learning, and help the practitioner regulate emotions. Join us for this
session to learn about the benefits of mindfulness for both teachers and students, how to develop your
own mindfulness practice, and how to cultivate a culture of mindfulness in your classroom.

                                              It’s All About The Connection
                                                 Presented By: Diane Stewart
                                                   Target Audience: All Staff

We all know that having a personal relationship with our students is crucial. At Agora, relationships and
connections can be extremely difficult due to the many barriers that are erected via technology,
overwhelming numbers of students, family situations, student educational challenges, etc. This session
will review the importance of making connections, and how we can break down the barriers. You will
leave with many specific ideas on how to form a personal connection with your students, which will lead
to improved academic engagement and performance. I will use information from many sources
including; Teach Like a Champion, The Anatomy of Peace, Heart in the Right Place, and If I
Understood You, Would I have this Look on my Face?

Presented By: Amber Cross, Miranda Luckie
Target Audience: Elementary School, Math Teachers

Step right up to the K-5 Math Intervention Carnival! During our interactive presentation, we will put our
skills to the test as we incorporate research based best practices in the virtual classroom, including
integration of visual representations, word problem comprehension, scaffolding and think alouds, and
fun fact fluency. There will be opportunities for collaboration and creativity, and together we will build a
database of resources! Participants will leave with some exciting takeaways that can be incorporated
into their own classrooms this fall.
