Are you secretly jealous of that person on your team who is not afraid of opening Excel? Not only do they gladly open Excel,
but also they can figure things out with Excel. They tell you that Excel makes their job easier, and is not simply a torture
mechanism designed by evil computer scientists in dungeons below Microsoft headquarters. You assume they are lying to
you, but they say it with a straight face. Come to this session, and you too will gain an understanding of how Excel can be a
helpful tool to do your job. We will answer questions like, “How can I use Excel to sort a list of Blackboard Collaborate
participants by last name?” “How can I use Excel to figure out who on my team will be 14 this year?” “How can I format Excel
so that it doesn’t give me a headache to look at it?” We will answer all of these questions and more, covering basic Excel
functions like, Concatenate, Find and Replace, Freezing Panes, Date functions, Averages, and many more.
