I guess I am a lot like my Grandpa Flavio, or at least I hope I am. Grandpa
never let anything stop him. When he heard of an opportunity to buy
surplus structures from Us Army Camp Hahn, items that were no longer
needed after the war ended, he saw it as an opportunity to build up his
airport. There was however one glitch. In order to be eligible to buy these
buildings from the government, you had to be either a farmer or
clergymen. So never being one to take no for an answer, he purchased a
wagon, a donkey and some chickens and had a photograph taken which he
then used to qualify. Once eligible to bid he did so successfully and had
more building to add to his burgeoning airport. Today, one of those surplus
buildings of Grandpa's is still used as the Flabob airport café.
