Ed Marquart worked at Flabob Airport from 1955 until two weeks before
his death, at the age of 85. He was among the most famous designers and
builders of homebuilt aircraft. Lou Stolp legendary homebuilt-aircraft
designer designed and built the Starduster Too in the late 1960s. It was the
first two-place, plans-built biplane, considered one of the prettiest biplanes
ever designed. So, as you can see this small Riverside airport has been a
breeding ground for aviation greats.
There is so much more information on Flabob all over the internet. There is
info on the EEA and the flying academy that happened, I believe after your
dad sold the airport? I will handle this as you see fit. If you want me to
add more meat to this section, let me know.
