Any photos of you and Jennifer? They would be great here.
We went to junior high school and high school together, although we did
have a separate group of friends at school. After school and on Saturdays if
one of us was there, the other was right by her side. We practiced six days
a week, and soon we integrated our separate friends together, we didn't
hang out that much with each other's friends, I suppose because she was a
year ahead of me in school and her friends preferred to stick to kids in
their own grade. In high school, our lives began to intertwine since we
attended the same parties. I think part of what made us so close was that
Jennifer had two older brothers who both participated in multiple sports,
so her mom and dad were not very present parents as far as Jennifer's
swimming was concerned. She knew her family was aware of how good she
was, but her dad didn't have the patience to sit through the sometimes
lengthy performances, so Jennifer kind of adopted my parents. My folks
took Jennifer with us to every swim meet, she often referred to them as
her swim parents. This closeness grew greater, and soon Jennifer was a
fixture at my home, and it was my parents she would go to when she had a
problem or needed a hug. She became like a sister to me. Jennifer and I
have gone long spurts of time not seeing each other as we both grew up, got
married and had kids, but to this day, when I pick up the phone and call
her, there is a comfort zone there, and we can pick up right where we left
off, as if no time had passed at all.
Any photos of you at swimming meets or traveling to or from the meets?
Even shots in the hotel room with you and Jennifer.
Jennifer spent a great deal of time at the airport since it was our virtual
playground and grandpa would take us for rides in his planes. I loved to fly
from the time I was little, actually I do not remember a time in my life
