PLYMOUTH - There is nothing more exciting than see- ing young children learn to read as they grow up and discover their love for words and books. To see the wheels turning on a kid’s face when they learn how to pronounce certain words and take in the story before them is nothing short of a heartwarming feeling. And the Pease Public Li- brary knows that feeling all too well with the Book Buddies pro- gram.
The Book Buddies Program runs every second and fourth Wednesday from 3:30-4:30 PM, and it is a time where children can come in and read to Jack, a

Circle Teen Adventure Program (TAP) Annual Overnight

Circle Program is a year- round one-on-one mentor- ship program and residential summer camp for financially disadvantaged New Hamp- shire girls/youth aged 9-18. The Circle’s mission is to Em- power, Transform, and Enrich girls’ lives through Community, Connection, Camp, and Men- torship. On February 12th, Circle hosted their annual overnight at Mayhew Base Camp in Bristol on beautiful Newfound Lake. This annual event is highly anticipated by Circle’s teens and staff. It is a fun, relaxing reunion between participants before spring and the summer camp season. The activities chosen are meant to build connections and give the Teen Adventure Program participants time and space for reflection with their fellow
campers.
In years past, the curriculum
focused on social-emotional learning, like art activities. This year it focused on STEAM
(Science, Technology, Engi- neering, Arts, and Math), and they were incredibly grateful to have NASA Solar System Ambassador, Sally Jensen as a
guest STEAM educator. The participants walked away with knowledge of the use of com-
