                        The eyes have been placed in sockets, which are inserted in the skull, surrounded by special tis-
                        sues on a protective bed of fatty tissue. They are protected by the nose, muscles and upper
                        cheekbones.

                                                                                      Then the lens would have no tissue
                                                                                      "screen" to receive its image, and
                                                                                      no image would be transmitted.







                                                                               If the pupil opening under the lens
                                                                               were located anywhere else, no
                                                                               image could form.
