Chapter 4 No Reset (Post F.F.)
4.1 No Reset Repair Instruction
The post code F.F. means PCI Reset fail. PCIRST#, this is the Secondary PCI Bus reset
signal. It is a logical OR of the primary interface PLTRST# signal and the state of the
Secondary Bus Reset bit of the Bridge Control register. Usually this fail cause by basic
voltage error, clock incorrect, Power OK signal fail or PCI reset was pulled low by PCI
bus components. .
The repair step:
01. Voltage Check according to power sequence of the chipset (SB).
02. Clock check.
03. PWOK signal check.
04. PCI Reset signal check.
