Sleep science

 Sleep is science based information.
 Each baby has unique sleep totals, sleep patterns & wake windows in a 24 hour period.
 Before we sleep train a baby, we line up the sleep science.
 We will be creating an age appropriate schedule with proper wake windows & nap
totals before we begin sleep training.
 While creating these naps, we will be using any sleep crutch necessary to line up the
sleep science – all no-cry methods unless your baby already has sleep skills.
 Proper wake windows & nap totals = successful sleep training.
 Wake windows, nap totals, bed timing, night sleep totals, schedules are an approximate
sleep science according to age (month).
 Big wake window, low night totals, low nap totals creates = bedtime challenges,
frequent night waking, early rising & poor nap totals.
                           Over-tired sleep cycles & cycles.
                           Sleep begets sleep.
 When babies go to sleep past their age appropriate wake windows & have accumulated
‘sleep debt’, they have a ‘cortisol rush’ (stress hormone). They are unable to fall into the
deep restorative high quality sleep that a well-rested baby is able to fall into.
 I will be closely studying your baby/child on the sleep app.
 We will begin formal sleep work on an excellent sleep science day – proper morning
wake, nap totals & wake windows.
 Please refer to attached example sleep schedule to use as a guideline.
 I will help you line all this up.
