Hashtag Utd stay in second place, level on points with Billericay, following their 4-0
victory over Enfield Town. Sasha Adamson bagged a brace for the Tags, whose other scorers
were Grace Gillard and Kelsey Smith.
Actonians Ladies are a point behind the top two with their 8-1 win against Harlow
Town. Alessandra Barreca led the scoring with a hat-trick, Maria Ledezma-Viso contributed a
double and there was one apiece from Meila D'Santos and Rhiannon Ishmael along with an
own goal, Harlow's consolation coming from Becky Shephard.
Cambridge Utd have moved up into fourth place after an Emma Jenkins hat-trick
and Ruth Fox brace earned them a 5-2 victory over Kent Football Utd, who replied through
Megan Burrows and Emma Squirrell.
Erin Davies, Zynia Delglyn, Grace Stanley and Charlotte Gillies accounted for the
goals as Cambridge City ran out 4-1 winners away to previously unbeaten London
Seaward, whose goal came from Kate Kerr.
A second half equaliser from Megan Todd earned Norwich City their first point of
the season in a 1-1 draw against AFC Wimbledon, who had earlier taken the lead through
Hannah Billingham.
Division One South West
With AFC Bournemouth not having a game on Sunday, Chesham Utd took the
opportunity to return to the top of the table when they defeated Swindon Town 2-1. Kate
Bowers scored a late winner for the Clarets to add to Gemma Fraser's earlier strike, whilst
Swindon's reply came from Annabelle Colston.
Cheltenham Town are up to second, level on points with Chesham, after goals from
Lois Colley, Amy Wathan and Lacy-Jai Liggett saw them to a 3-0 victory over Larkhall
Athletic.
Portishead Town meanwhile ran out 8-2 winners away to Buckland Athletic and
this has taken them into the top four. Shannon Holloway led the scoring for Portishead with a
hat-trick and there were doubles from Rosie Hill and Lulu Watts whilst Emily Lindsey was also
on target, the home side responding with Alex Hugh and an own goal.
Southampton Women and Exeter City shared the points as they finished level at
2-2. Sian Wylie and Brittany Jeal scored the goals for Southampton whilst Exeter replied
through a Mollie Taylor double, including an equaliser deep into injury time.
Maidenhead Utd notched up their second victory of the season, beating Poole
Town 4-0. Nicole Barrett scored twice for the Berkshire side along with Jade Chhokar and
Kirsty Matthews.
Reserve Section round-up...
Huddersfield Town recorded the biggest win of the opening day in the Northern Division
when they defeated Liverpool Feds 5-2, Macy Ellis and Falone Sumaili each netting twice
along with Kayley Hird. Felicity Jones (2), Bethin Boyle and Katie Ormerod were amongst the
goals for Middlesbrough in their 4-2 victory over Leeds Utd. Stockport County beat
Bradford City 3-1 thanks to Georgia Johnson, Ellie Richardson and Elle Turner whilst an
Imogen Porteous-Williams hat-trick earned Brighouse Town a 3-3 draw against Chorley.
In the Midland Division, Jemima Footitt hit a hat-trick as Nottingham Forest
scored nine times against West Bromwich Albion. Poppy Scholefield (2), Naomi Powell,
Niamh Reynolds, Sophia Bonser and Alice Higginbottom all joined her on the scoresheet.
Leicester City defeated Doncaster Rovers Belles 9-1 and Wolverhampton
Wanderers were 7-2 winners over Loughborough Lightning, courtesy of a Leonie Joyce
hat-trick, plus doubles from Lauren Riley and Shelbie Cartwright. Louise Price (2) and Danni
Smith accounted for the goals as Sporting Khalsa beat Lincoln City 3-1 and Stoke City
won 2-1 against Solihull Moors thanks to Billie Jean Davies and Sophie Taylor. Jemma
Marriott scored the only goal for Long Eaton Utd in their 1-0 victory over Bedworth Utd.
One match was played in the South East Division, Ciara Purdue netting a brace and
Ella Hayes adding the other as Stevenage Women won 3-2 away to West Ham Utd.
