Please understand that I’m not totally bashing
our education system, but let me ask you a
question. Did you ever take a class in high
school or college on “Success?” Why are there
so many MBA graduates unemployed or
bankrupt? Science now proves that there are
other measurements of intelligence. IQ
identifies with analytical, logical, technical, and
rational abilities. EQ identifies with self-
awareness, self-expression, people skills,
decision making, and how one deals with stress
and change. There is also physical intelligence
and spiritual intelligence. IQ is the least
quantifiable indicator of success.
Moms and Dads, don’t worry about your kids
if they have a lot of street smarts and people
skills, but bring home a “C” or worse from time
to time. Just read the statistics, and I’m
confident you’ll come to the same conclusion
many others have reached.

For those who have dedicated themselves to a
career of academia, I applaud you for a life
committed to education. I do strongly
encourage you to explore the research I’ve
described. For many decades, we have been
taught what to think and not how to think. The
fact that scholastic indicators such as the SAT
and ACT are inept in determining success
