THE POWER OF TAKING THE PLUNGE

I believe we are all perfectly imperfect, created
by God to live significant lives. No matter
where you go or to whom you speak, everyone
is stepping forward courageously to face the
human condition. The courage of a mother to
risk her life to give birth to another life, or the
courage of a father to stand up to protect his
family, his country, his way of life to include the
courage of every single one of us to stand up
and say yes to our life experience.

We are not all meant to be star quarterbacks,
nor beauty pageant queens. We are not all
meant to be president or Mother Teresa.

What I find so fascinating is the fact that many
of us were indoctrinated in the belief that our
success will be determined by our Intelligence
Quotient or IQ. I’m sure that you can
remember those who were superstars
academically and turned out to be dismal
failures. Scientific evidence as well as
sophisticated statistics have clearly debunked
that paradigm. In fact, only six percent of
entrepreneurial success (in other words, the
rich) is attributed to IQ and up to forty-five
percent of success is due to EQ or Emotional
Intelligence.
