has sent. They said to him what miracle do you perform that we may see and
believe in you? What have you performed? Our forefathers ate manna in the
wilderness as it is written. He gave them bread from heaven to eat. Jesus said to
them I say to you it was not Moses who gave you bread from heaven. My Father
in heaven gives you the true bread from heaven. The bread of God is he who has
descended from heaven who gives life to whom he will. Jesus said to them I am
the bread of life. He who comes to me shall never hunger and he who believes in
me shall never thirst. I have said to you that you have seen me and yet you do
not believe. Blessed is he who has not seen me and believes.
Moses Divorce Papers
The Pharisees came up to him and were tempting him and saying is it lawful for a
man to divorce his wife for any cause? He said to them what did Moses
command you? They said Moses gave us permission to write a letter of
separation then to divorce. Jesus answered saying to them it was because of the
hardness of your heart that he wrote for you this particular law. Moses
considering the hardness of your heart gave you permission to divorce your
wives. From the beginning, it was not so. Have you not known from the very
beginning God made them male and female? He said because of this a man

and marries commits adultery. He who marries a woman thus separated commits
adultery. If a woman divorces her husband and marries another she commits
adultery.
His disciple asked him about this while they were gathered in the Temple and
said to him if there is so much difficulty between man and woman it is not
worthwhile to marry. He said to them this saying does not apply to every man but
to whom it is given. There are eunuchs who were born this way from their
mother’s womb and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men and
there are eunuchs who made themselves eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of
heaven.
Woman Caught in Adultery
Then the scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman who was caught in
adultery. While in the Temple they had her to stand in the midst before Jesus and
his followers. They said to him. Teacher this woman was caught openly in the act
of adultery. Now in the Law of Moses it is commanded that women such as these
