Meeting “The Iron Lady”……………
I was in BARC, Mumbai when Margaret Thatcher visited there.
She was longest-serving first woman British PM of 20th century,
also known as "The Iron Lady", because of her uncompromising
politics and leadership style. Mrs Indira Gandhi was Indian
Prime Minister then.
Saw a conglomeration near BARC canteen. Curiosity pulled me
there. Found Mrs. Thatcher informally meeting with staff.
Looking gracious, interacting freely with whosoever was there.
Introducing myself, I gestured with “Namaste”, which
apparently she liked though no further conversations.
Wondering what would be the scenario when "Iron Lady" will
meet “Steel Authority of India”, the great Mrs Indira Gandhi.
