TEES AND GREENS ANALYSIS

                                                     Teeing Grounds

The bengtass/poa tees appear to be performing well despite the large volume of rounds played.
The staff’s tee leveling/re-grassing efforts have been providing fine playing surfaces. Potential fu-
ture renovations could include selective enlargement of the course’s par three teeing grounds.
While the par three surfaces are functioning as-is, increased space will improve divot recovery and
spread turf wear. Tee alignment can also be improved during these improvements.

Staff must contend with abrupt slopes surrounding the tees. These slopes challenge mowing and
spraying almost daily. A comprehensive bunker renovation will be producing adequate volumes of
excess soil throughout the property that can be cost-effectively used to soften some of these trou-
          blesome slopes.

An in-depth master plan can study the playability for golfers of all abilities through selective modifi-
cations to tee placement. Given the number of forced carries at Eagle’s Landing, alterations to tee-
ing grounds will be important to consider. It appears that your potentially most popular yardage of
6015 yards is a blended set that borrows from the Gold and White Markers (which is not ideal).

Please note the current trend in golf course design is to actually shorten golf course to increase en-
joyment and improve speed of play. This strategy will serve Eagle’s Landing well.
