Alabama AKA Day at the Capitol

Clemons, Alice Sams and Sharon Tibbs joined other
Sorors from across Alabama, in Montgomery, for AKA Day at
the Capitol. Soror Mary B. Conner, South Eastern Regional
Director, brought greetings on the floor on behalf of Alpha
Kappa Alpha. With a theme, “Family Strengthening Through Civil Rights, Social Justice, Shelter and
Financial Means,” a panel discussion was presented by state representatives and others. Epsilon Gamma
Omega received the award for traveling the longest distance. Sorors are above/pictured below with 25th
South Eastern Regional Director, Soror Mary B. Conner, South Eastern Representative International
Connections Chairman, Soror C. Denise Wright, State Representatives Anthony Daniels and Laura Hall
