“The Legacy of William Hooper Councill: Honoring the Past, Inspiring the Future” was the theme for
Alabama A&M University’s 140th Founder’s Day Convocation held Friday, May 1, 2015. Our 24th South
Eastern Regional Director and member of Epsilon Gamma Omega, Soror Adrienne P-K Washington had
the honor of delivering the Founder’s Day Address. Also, Soror Venita Clisby King had the privilege of
introducing Soror P-K Washington. During the program, a special presentation was made in honor of Ivy
Beyond the Wall, Soror Cheryl Witt of Rho Chi Omega. Sorors Adrienne P-K-Washington, Cheryl
Johnson (Rho Chi Omega Chapter) and the Witt family presented a check in the amount of $15,000 to
Dr. Andrew Hugine, President of Alabama A&M University for the Cheryl Witt Scholarship Fund.
