After weeks of work on the vandalized playground at the James A. Lane

Boys and Girls Club, Target IV: Environmental Ownership, invited you

to come and play at the playground for the Community Impact

Impact Day for 1908 Playground Approximately one hundred and twenty-five Sorors, invited program
Mobilization Day guests, individuals from the community, and most importantly,
#AKAImpactDay #AKA1908 children joined in the festivities to open the playground.

The Boy Scouts of America, Troop 400, opened the program by presenting colors, followed by greetings
from Basileus, Soror Wilma Ruffin and a Playground Blessing by Chaplain, Soror Renee Knight. The
Boys and Girls Club of North Alabama Human Resources Development Officer, Beth Morring gave the

response followed by
presentations.

After the program and
ribbon cutting, guests
enjoyed activities, food
and fun! Music was
provided by Rouchell
O’Neal and students from Prima Dance Studio performed for entertainment. Operation Green Team had
Bubbles and a craft project. Circle Motion Hoops, Ms. Chrisha Favors, provided hula hoops. Target III
and the Boys and Girls Club provided food. Everyone walked away with a healthy snack to take home.
