"We Were So Close Those Days"
"We were so close those days" were the words by which Acca always
reminded us of the times when we visited her, on our every visit to
Australia. We were very fortunate and thankful to GOD for having
brought Acca and Uncle into our lives.
We started our married life fifty years ago at Ward Place and all the time
we lived in Colombo, we always lived within walking distance of Acca's
house. This proximity benefited us a great deal in our experiencing their
kindness, generosity and instant help, always.
Acca had a pleasing personality and a very good heart to help anybody
and everybody, anytime. She had a very wide knowledge on many
subjects & endeavours and her rapidity of thought, great intellectual
capacity, friendly impressive ways and problem solving abilities were all
embedded in her commanding personality, and won her the affection,
respect and admiration of all in our community.
We always remember the part we played as ‘acting parents’ for their
children when they went abroad and fondly remember Vasu calling us
‘Sinna Appa’ and ‘Sinna Amma’.
We will continue to pass through the rest our time here with everlasting,
evergreen memories of you and will meet you very soon.
You Will Be Remembered by Many and
Have Now Reached Your Destination
At the Feet of Almighty God.
REST IN PEACE
