For the moment, he was having a conversation in Persian with his wife who was busy preparing
            food.

‘Not seen you in here before. Just visiting?’ Shapur at last turned to begin a conversation.

‘Kind of. Moving up from New York shortly. Just tied the lease up this morning.’

‘That’s not a pure American accent. Are you from Europe?’

‘Well spotted. Yes I’m from England.’

‘Aha. I thought so. I have cousins in Leicester. Are you from there?’

‘No. Other end of the country!

            ‘So where you moving to?’

            ‘Kendall Square’

‘Kendall Square! Wow. That’s big bucks’

            Mick had done his homework.

Shapur looked a little embarrassed at his outburst but he was a natural talker and talking was

‘Azarin turned with a shy smile at the mention of her name.

‘Very tasty. Azarin. You are a good cook.’ Mick held his bottle of sprite up in a token of salute.

‘So what you doing this side of the river?’

‘Friend of mine emigrated to Australia recently. Gave me the name of an investment advisor in this
district but damn me if I haven’t lost his name and address and my friend won’t be settled in
Australia yet so I can’t call him. The guy called me recently but the number he called me from turns

            out to be a payphone.’

‘A payphone!’ Shapur looked puzzled, ‘are you sure the guy is legit?’

‘My friend wouldn’t do business with anyone who might be shady. I’ve tracked the payphone; it’s
the one right outside. Thought I’d come in here, have something to eat and think what to do next.’

‘The one right outside! ‘ Shapur turned and spoke quickly and at length to his wife and she in turn
            answered him very briefly.

‘Sir, we are both agreed. The person you are seeking is probably Mister Warner. We have seen him
using the payphone previously. We thought he was having an illicit affair or something but yes, that
