lunch, decompress from the day, and celebrate. It was done. The plaque
was in place.
After lunch, mom drove back to San Ramon. Jay and I went back to his
parents, where I’d stay for the next week. Once he and I got there, I went to
the room I was staying in and settled in. Mom gave me some super cute
LOVE pillow cases, for my pillows as a surprise. I loved them. A little
something to bring happiness to my day. I love you mommy. I got cozy in
bed and started to relax about 2:30pm. By around 5:30 I started to feel some
soreness on the back side of my eyeball. I took Tylenol with codeine right
away. Mom always taught me to stay ahead of the pain. Within 20 minutes,
the edge was off and I could sleep. I was still numb from the surgery, and
was very tired. I kept the lead patch covering my eye, even though I could
have taken it off. The lite pressure felt good. So I keep it on.
The rest of the day I slept. My eye was a bit soar, but not bad. I added a little
gauze under the lead patch to make it a little more comfortable when I sleep.
Dec 7 Wednesday - Day after plaque placement
Today was a big day. How would I feel now that the numbness had worn
off. Right way, I had decided I’d stay ahead of the pain. I got on a schedule
to take the Tylenol with codeine every 4 hours. Sometimes I took it every 3.5
hours if I started feeling any discomfort.
