Special Ube Puto sa Gata






             2 c all purpose flour, sifted                                   Yield: 24-30 pcs
             1 c glutinous rice flour, sifted
             2 c rice flour, sifted

             4 c kakang gata
             ¾ c condensed milk

             ¾ c oil
             ¼ tbsp salt
             5 pcs XL eggs

             1 ½ c shredded coconut meat
             1 c halayang ube

             1 ¾ c white sugar
              4 tbsp baking powder
             1 ½ tbsp ube powder

             1 tbsp ube flavor
             1 tsp ube color

             wilted banana leaves
             1 tbsp sugar
             ¾ tbsp yeast

             ¼ c warm milk



             Mix all the ingredients. Line puto molder with banana leaves.
             Fill each molder with batter up to ¾ full.



             Fill half of the steamer with water. Steam puto in boiling water for 25-30
             minutes. Cover the top layer with cheesecloth.



             Tip: Pierce the steamed puto with a toothpick to check if it is already
             cooked. If the toothpick comes out clean, the puto is ready.                               65
