ACHIEVEMENTS
PROOF OF SCHOOL ENROLLMENT
DOCUMENTS EXPANDED
To accommodate teenage drivers affected by
COVID-19 school closures, DDS has expanded the
list of acceptable documents for mandatory proof of
school enrollment. Typically, only a DDS Certificate of
Enrollment form was acceptable and needed to be
signed and notarized from the student’s school and
presented at the time of applying for a permit or Class
D driver’s license. DDS expanded the list to accept
additional documents including transcripts, report
cards and school IDs.
EXPANDED COMMERCIAL VEHICLE
TESTING OPTIONS
DDS is making it easier for customers to receive
a commercial vehicle road test by increasing the
number of third-party testing locations statewide.
DDS has initiated a pilot program for Truck Driving DDS is making it easier for customers to

VIRTUAL ROAD TESTING PILOT
A successful pilot program was conducted to test new
cameras designed to enhance the contactless road
test experience for team members and customers.
DDS is using the latest driver-facing and road-facing
camera technology mounted on the dashboard of
the customer’s vehicle and a map to follow a pre-set
route. The team member monitors the test from the
safety of the CSC.
