             REAL ID

             The implementation deadline for Real ID has been
             extended until May 3, 2023 due to circumstances
             resulting from the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
             Georgia was already recognized as a leader in
             implementing REAL ID and has now enrolled 99.2% of
             over eight million cardholders.

             On the deadline, individuals will not be allowed to
             clear TSA or enter a Federal building using a non-
             compliant state-issued driver’s license/ID Card. Real
             ID cards show that the holder has presented the
             required Homeland Security information during their
             issuance process and have a card marked with a gold
             or a black star
