“Because the customer is initiating a chat from the Web Chat widget, they will appear as
Anonymous when the agent receives the chat task in their inbox. This is a new customer
browsing the company web site and is interested in more information on the packages Grand
Travel has to offer.
Despite the fact that they have not identified themselves yet, you’ll notice that the widget has
already collected some useful metrics that can help the agent by providing more context for the
chat discussion:
● The landing page the customer was on when the chat was initiated, which would signify
where their interest is
