Technically, this demolition was perhaps
second of its kind after the Rambagh
flyover, Mumbai demolition in the
country. Many advanced equipment and
machinery were being used which were
not even seen by many construction
engineers in this field. To the surprise of
everyone, common public were also
seen asking about the giant machinery
out of general inquisitiveness
In the small working area that too
of linear nature, almost all the
giant machinery worked closely,
while keeping the minimum
clearances and carried out the
work safely. The whole scheme of
work was to attack from all sides.
This requires an engagement of a
large no of same functioning
equipment attacking from all
possible sides. This scheme has a
great risk that in case of failure
from any side, it shall be replicated
possibly in all the sides.
Fortunately, proper study of specification and fitness of all the equipment and
Hon’ble MD and Director level demonstration of working of machinery and
equipment ruled out any such possibility.
