PREPARATORY ACTIVITIES

After approval of dismantling of Chhatrapati Bridge, preparatory activities were
planned well in advance. The indicative list is shown below.

Letter for permission for dismantling was submitted to Chief Engineer PWD
1 Nagpur region on dated 22.06.2016

Road Survey on foot - The adjacent area was surveyed and tentative route for
2 traffic diversion was finalised as shown in annexure-( )

The DCP(traffic) was intimated on 14.07.2016 regarding the decision of
3 dismantling work with a request to take necessary steps.

Action by ACP(Traffic) - Acting on the letter dated 14.07.2016, ACP traffic had
surveyed the area and approved the proposed diversion plan by NMRCL

A press note was issued by ACP(Traffic) giving details of proposed traffic diversion
plan and details of no parking areas and asked for suggestions and objection from
public. Traffic department insisted to repair and widen the proposed diversion

road to cater the heavy traffic.

Accordingly work order from Chief Project Manager (P-S) was issued on dated
17.09.2016 to M/s Super Construction for road repair works under existing
contract after getting approval from NMRCL

The intimation regarding receipt of permission of GoM was given to all the
6 concerned dept. like NMC/PWD/OCW/POLICE/GC etc on 26.09.2016

After discussion with all the concerned dept. and considering festive season of
Navratri, Dussehra, and Diwali, the start date for dismantling was fixed as

15.11.2016

Considering the start of winter assembly season from 05.12.2016 at Nagpur, it is
also decided to complete the work in all respect within 15 days that is up to

30.11.2016
