D 3.2.7 Emergency Response
The facility/plant has established the emergency response plant which is aligned with
the Malaysia Fire Service (Fire Certificate) Regulations 2001, Uniform Building by
Law 1984, and section 18, 19 of the CIMAH regulations.
The emergency response plan is based on tier approaches and incident
management system (IMS) addressing fire and explosion hazards within the plant
and offsite.
i. Firefighting Resources
The facility/plant has been equipped with the firefighting resources, facilities or
equipment to combat emergency incidents as per BOMBA requirements.
ii. Communications
All on-site personnel and visitors/suppliers/contractors/clients entering the
location/operation shall be informed of evacuation procedures during their site
induction.
All personnel in the premise is informed of the evacuation routes, nearest assembly
points and familiarized with the sound of the evacuation siren.
A list of emergency contact numbers of external organizations and related
government authorities are available and posted at strategic locations of the plant.
iii. Assembly Area
The purpose of the assembly area is to assemble all personnel in one area, to
enable a head count to be conducted to determine if all personnel are accounted for.
Both KT1 & KT2 WTP designated with two assembly points to ensure that in the
event of one of the assembly points being unusable due to the emergency, another
safe assembly point is available.
Company Emergency Response Plan is provided in Part C, Appendix C3.
D 3.2.8 Lifesaving
Lifesaving equipment includes equipment and appliances that protect human life
during emergency. The facility/plant is equipped with the standard personnel
