Thorn In The Heart

in the classroom, and her smiles will fill his empty soul. But the
more he hoped for these things as the more of later red flowers
disappeared on its branches, and the flamboyant trees became
naked with their branches look like the fingers raised in the air
to welcome the light chilly winds.

The first silent love goes into Nguyen’s heart as the noise of
the yellow leaves running with the light winds in the forest of
Autumn. Sometimes love likes a solitary yellow leave sliding
down in the air, makes the cycle light wares on the surface of the
water, and wake Nguyen’s soul pond at the time of the sunset.
Love seemed the light autumn thin wind walk through Nguyen’s
brush soul to roll his heart, makes a little uproarious in his soul
         and astounded on his eyes.

Nguyen’s look always follows the gray-orange clouds on the
horizon, where a solitary bird is flying back his nest in a hurry at
sunset, whispers to call his lover name and says hello to his
         lover dream.

Time started heavy on his long sighs, and the flamboyant
leaves were growing on the branches to remind him that a
beautiful school girl in his dream was flying as a canary in the
blue sky of Spring. She was a beautiful songbird left the
flamboyant branches to follow the love call on the wide green
field of happiness. She does not know that on the Ban-Me-Thuot
school front yard has a young man, who is solitary to lean on the
flamboyant foot tree in quiet, looks at the flamboyant branches
with his hope to find the beautiful songbird.

Nguyen felt he lost something in his soul for each time he
looked at a place, where Nguyen-Thi-Dung sat to study few
years and sometimes she turned back to smile at him.

A few years later of Saigon Laws schoolyard on Duy-Tan
street with his classmates, Nguyen was still lonely beside them
to think of Nguyen-Thi-Dung, who he called “A little songbird.
