Thorn In The Heart

         memories  of  the  childhood  and  dream  of  peace  on  the
         countrysides.

             She was listening to her husband with the sad eyes and had
         images of the bloodbath for the North people, who will be living
         in the Vietminh trap, and never get out of this cruel laws until
         they die. The richer and high educator who communist called the
         capitalist  and  reactionary  elements  will  struggle  in  their  blood
         any  time  by  the  communist  party’s  policies  because  the
         communist hearts will never open to love the people that they
         have  learned  to  create  the  proletariat  and  promoted  to  be  the
         class struggle in the social.

             She  always  listens  to  her  spouse  in  quietly  and  tried  to
         believe  his  explanation  about  political  and  policy  shifting  of
         Communist’s opinion after they controlled the North. However,
         sometimes she looked at her children, shook her head, sight and
         does not know what decision to make. Also, she always obeys
         her husband for everything that Vietnamese women had learned
         from their parent and the heavy unviolated tradition cultures to
         follow their spouse.


             Nguyen’s father was resigned to get out of the 10th Mobile
         Battalion  after  two  months  of  theGeneva  agreement  for  the
         peace of Vietnam, which had signed by the allied such as The
         United State, Great Britain, Soviet Union, India, Italy, etc... He
         also knew that this peace agreement made the huge refugee ware
         moving  toward  the  South  to  escape  Communist  cruel  rules
         before the Communist party take over and control the North.

             He prepped to move back his old village with love for the
         land and hopeful for his children, that they will live and grow in
         the  peaceful  of  the  country  when  the  war  is  over,  and  the
         Communist’s opinion will change for the people.

             One day, Nguyen’s father sold the house in the Bach-Mai
         alley, Hanoi Capital, rent a bus to transfer his goods, carried his
