As we celebrate the spirit of the season, we are thrilled to share
the many ways that Numark is committed to enhancing the health
and wellbeing of our communities. Join us in this festive countdown
as we highlight the vital role we collectively play in our patients'
health journeys and reaffirm our unwavering dedication to providing
accessible, high-quality care for everyone we serve through our
12 principles statements. It is tempting to write the principles to
coincide with the “Twelve Days of Christmas” song and as the
principles apply all year long, we’ve resisted doing that. However feel
free if that gets you in the Christmas spirit!

Community Pharmacy teams will improve population
1 health and address increasing healthcare demand as part
of an integrated wider health system.
Community pharmacy will play a vital role in the integrated primary
care team, collaborating closely with GP practices and other
healthcare professionals. By utilizing a shared data platform, they will
provide an expanding array of clinical pharmacy services aimed at
early intervention and enhancing the health of the local population.

2 The community pharmacy network will continue to be
critical to local communities.
Community pharmacies are embedded in the neighbourhoods they
serve and are essential for providing safe access to medications, a
broad spectrum of services designed to enhance population health,
and timely healthcare advice. Individuals who utilize community
pharmacy services often report positive experiences with the care
and guidance they receive. The availability of trained healthcare
professionals contributes significantly to the social well-being of the
community.

3 Prescribing and supply can take place from the same
community pharmacy premises.
Integrating prescribing and medication supply within a community
pharmacy will streamline the patient experience, leading to a more
efficient process and supporting better health outcomes, all while
ensuring safety through established pharmacy protocols.
