Solution Development Process
• To realize maximum outcome benefits, ensure that CSFs and KPIs are validated
and signed off by your customer before you commence solution design
• Work closely with your customer to provide a high quality user adoption plan
• The benefits of a reference model such as TOGAF are that it provides
standardisation for documentation and a structured approach to business and IT
alignment
• The “target state” implementation approach should always include consideration
for both assumptions and potential risks
• An IT solution that is aligned to customer needs could be described as one which
relieves a customer's pain points and directly enables business results
• In mapping solutions and capabilities, focus your time and the customer's
attention on a few capabilities that make a strong impact
